About the Author

Paul Gunning grew up in Newton Heath, Manchester and was interested in birds and livestock from an early age. Helped and encouraged by his uncle, Sammy Smith, he has kept and raced pigeons ever since. Having retired from a career as a mental health professional, he now shares his time between Cornwall and Australia.
